Pierre Giroux nommé au conseil d'administration du régime de retraite des CAAT

The OCASA Pension Corporation Board of Directors has appointed Pierre Giroux, a retired administrator and OCASA member, to the CAAT Pension Plan Board of Trustees.

The OCASA Pension Corporation Board of Directors has appointed Pierre Giroux, a retired administrator and OCASA member, to the CAAT Pension Plan Board of Trustees.

Mr. Giroux has previously served as the OCASA representative on the CAAT Pension Plan Sponsorship Committee for five years, and one three-year term on the CAAT Pension Plan Board of Trustees.

The two OPSEU applications before the Ontario Labour Relations Board to unionize part-time staff will not be resolved soon, Don Sinclair of the Council told OCASA Board at their fall meeting, as these are very large files and take time to process.

Colleges may face some difficult decisions in the coming year, Linda Franklin told the OCASA Board of Directors, but are generally in a sound condition to meet those challenges.

Ms Franklin, CEO of Colleges Ontario, said that colleges are seen by the public as problem-solvers, and are seen increasingly by politicians as solutions to political, economic and labour force challenges in the province.
