A recent survey of OCASA members that are newer to college administration returned 30 responses. OCASA plans on incorporating these responses into Conference workshop planning and online resources/webinars.
Representing managers across college divisions, newer managers are clear about their professional development needs (in order of preference):
- strategic planning
- budgeting/finance
- conflict resolution
- navigating a college career
They also indicated a desire for a professional development day with other newer administrators.
