Can colleges develop the leaders colleges need?

It’s no secret that baby boomers make up a significant portion of administrators in Ontario Colleges and that group is moving toward retirement. Retirement is a happy time for those who reach that goal, but if colleges were to lose up to 40% of their leaders in a relatively short period of time, who is left to lead and inspire? Can college lose a significant number of key people without losing what makes colleges great?

The Fall 2009 edition of COLLEGE ADMINISTRATOR examines this issue of leadership and OCASA’s part in this issue.

COLLEGE ADMINISTRATOR is delivered to all administrators (and to College Presidents) and the Boards of Governors twice each year. The Fall Edition 2009 will be available in colleges on or about Nov. 1.  Enquire at the OCASA office if you’ve missed your copy.
